Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?  Can I pay cash?

We do require that you purchase tickets for our tours in advance and they are available through the links labeled "Buy Tickets" here on our webiste.  Our tour guides are not able to process payments for tickets the day of the tours.  If you would like to purchase tickets but are not able to do so online because you do not have a credit card, please call 910 350-8901.

How much food is served on the tours?

There are at least 5 stops on each tour where you will be served small specialty meals.  For most people, there is enough food that dinner afterwards is not necessary.

Are there any beverages served on the tours?

Every restaurant will serve water or other beverages with their dish. Other Alcoholic and non-Alcoholic beverages are avilable at each stop, and can be paired with each dish on the tour for an additional cost.  Also, remember to bring your ID to verify your age for any alcoholic beverages purchases you may make.

Are bathrooms available during the tours?

Where does the tour start?

The tours begin (and end) in Carolina Beach.  Once your ticket is purchased, the location will be named and printed on the ticket.  We ask that you plan to arrive 15 minutes early so we can check everyone in, make introductions and begin on time.

Where does the tour end?

Both tours end within 3 blocks of the tour start.

Where can I park?

Public parking is available throughout the streets of Carolina Beach and in the lot facing the lake.

How much walking is involved?

The tours last about 2 1/2 hours and we are on our feet for approximately 45 minutes, walking at a comfortable pace. We sit at most restaurants for 15-20 minutes each.  We recommend wearing comfortable shoes...and sunscreen!

Does the tour leader accept gratuities?

Tipping at restaurants is not necessary.  Leader gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory.

What happens if it rains?

The tours are held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, we will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour. We will not be outdoors for the entire tour. You should still dress appropriately for the day's weather conditions.  We do have umbrellas to share with you during the tour in the event of rain.

Are cameras allowed on the tour?

Yes, cameras and filming are allowed, and encouraged during the tours.  If you would like the tour guide to take pictures of you and your group, please ask!

What if I don't see tickets for purchase? Can I still go on a tour?

Our tours run weekly during the busiest season (the summer).  In the off-season we run regular tours, specialty tours and group tours upon request.  Please reach out to us if you're interested!
