On this day in 1972, Robert Harrill, known to many as the Fort Fisher Hermit, died. His “school of common sense” thinking and simple living left it’s mark on many visitors. He is certainly one of the unique personalities that makes the history of #PleasureIsland so special. #FortFisher #KureBeach #CarolinaBeach #tastinghistory #tastinghistorytours

Thank you @surfhouse1 for this Easter feast so we could spend more time as a family and less time in the kitchen today. Happy Easter!
#KureBeach way back when. Not sure the year of this pic. Most likely pre #HurricaneHazel. Today there is more building than ever going on here on #PleasureIsland. More people buying vacation homes, retiring, and choosing to raise families here and make this island home. If you’re new (or old) to the area, join us on a food or drink tour. We love showing off the island and preserving the history here. We still have a few summer tours left and tickets available. Link in bio π΄ππ΄πΉ
